Dancing With Shadows: A Memoir of Grace and Grit
About
Dancing With Shadows
by Charles E. Cravey
I danced with shadows on the edge of light.
Where silence wept and memory held its breath.
Each step a prayer, each turn a muted fight,
A waltz with grace through sorrow, loss, and death.
The dusk grew kind beneath my trembling feet.
Its hush a hymn that healed what time had torn.
Though trials came with thorns and bittersweet,
I found in pain the place where hope is born.
The shadows taught me how to bend, not break.
To rise with dawn, though night had claimed its due.
In every fall, a deeper love would wake.
And mercy danced in every shade I knew.
So let this tale be light for those who roam—
A song of grit and grace that led me home.
