About

In SOUTHERN GRACE, master storyteller Charles Cravey returns to the heart of Georgia, where every crossroads holds a tale and every tale holds a blessing. From mountain peaks shrouded in morning mist to coastal swamps where ancient waters whisper, these stories capture the soul of a South that still believes in front porch wisdom and small-town miracles.

Through tales of grand Victorian ladies standing sentinel over changing towns, river waters carrying generations of memories, and simple acts of grace that heal wounded communities, Cravey weaves a tapestry of life that celebrates what makes the South a sanctuary for stories.

Each narrative—whether set in the “Valley Above the Clouds” in Suches or along the dark waters of the Okefenokee—reminds us that grace still flows through Georgia like sweet tea at a Sunday dinner.

This spiritual successor to SOUTHERN COMFORT invites readers to sit a spell, slow down to river time, and rediscover the beauty in ordinary moments that make Southern life extraordinary. Here, every story is a blessing. Every blessing holds a truth, and every truth leads us home.
