About

The Gospel of Ordinary Thingsis a poetic celebration of grace found in the everyday. From porch swings and biscuits to floods and robocalls, Charles E. Cravey invites readers into a world where humor meets holiness, and Southern charm carries spiritual weight. These free verse reflections explore loss, legacy, friendship, and faith with warmth, wit, and reverence.

Whether mourning an old friend, laughing at life’s interruptions, or pondering the next phase of the journey, each poem is a benediction—a quiet sermon wrapped in story. With the heart of a pastor and the pen of a poet, Cravey transforms common things into sacred truths.

Perfect for lovers of devotional poetry, Southern storytelling, and those seeking comfort in the ordinary, this collection reminds us that grace doesn’t always shout—sometimes it whispers through the dust.
